2017. Delphys
To promote Toyota’s updated car models, we produced four campaign videos showcasing the Yaris and Vios left(-hand), right(-hand) and center. We created a futuristic CG world for each model, letting the Yaris drive through a bright and colourful setting to contrast with the Vios, which is featured in a nocturnal environment. Striking a balance between the futuristic settings and actual car features, the interior and exterior designs of the Yaris and Vios are the stars of the show. Our Sound Monks produced two atmospheric soundtracks complementing the visual styles of each model and its otherworldly surroundings.

Mediamonks asked me to come onboard as a freelance look-dev artist, to work on all the city shots starting around 00:32 and ending around 00:45. I was responsible for shading (everything but the car), lighting and rendering. To help the compositors, I also created easy to adjust pre-comps of all the rendered layers. In the final stages I worked with resident environment-artist Vincent van der Klaauw, by taking his city matte painting and placing it in 3D composite, blending it with the 3d foreground.
